Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) Level 1: The next evolution of trauma processing therapy - embodied and informed by 30 years of neuroscience.

In person with Dr Andrew Harkin

DBR is now has an emerging evidence base through the lab of Ruth Lanius. Access the clinical research paper here.

The exciting thing about DBR is that it facilitates safe trauma processing across the board but also with people who previously were not able to access the processing of traumatic memory due to lack of stability in the nervous system - often due to early developmental abuse and/or neglect. It accesses and processes somatic/traumatic memory at a brainstem level which is ‘beneath’ the fragmentation of the upper midbrain and prefrontal cortex. This means core emotional pain, for example - terror, rage, shame, shock and aloneness experienced in infancy and early childhood can be processed in a supported way without having to access that via discrete unique experiences and fragmented states.

Listen to Dr Frank Corrigan talk about the origins and development of Deep Brain Reorienting here.

Numbers will be capped at 30 to ensure people have ample opportunity to ask questions and integrate the foundations of this new model. Please see the flyer below for all details.
